ryc: X (she'll be 16 next month) started guitar lessons in September, and at first used the Hal Leonard beginner book. Like your son, she has a great teacher who lets her bring in whatever she wants which, so far, has been mostly Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It's great when they let them play what they actually listen to as opposed to the boring songs in the book. :); May 9, 2008 3:57 PM
